British wool tops / roving / core wool
British wool tops are simply wonderful to felt with and they are also perfect for spinning and weaving.
We have tried and tested many different wools and chosen the best for you, ones that we use in most of our creations. All of our British wool tops are natural undyed colours and come from non mulsed flocks.
There are 8 lovely colours to choose from, each comes rolled into a tight bundle to prevent the fibres getting damaged. Each bundle weighs roughly 50 to 55 grams, usually over 2 metres in length.
Bluefaced Leicester - available in natural white and soft brown (26 micron).
Shetland - available in natural white, medium brown and deep brown (29-31 micron).
Jacob - available in natural white and soft grey (33-35 micron).
Herdwick - available in soft grey (about 40 micron).
